WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME IN HOPE ISLAND RESORT
continues to be upheld by the Resort’s Principal Body Corporate (PBC) which established Development Control By Laws (DCBLs) for the resort.
The original Japanese Developer’s Vision Statement;
“Our ambition is to continuously build value for Residents. This development is all about creating a world class living environment”
The DCBLs are by-laws which govern any construction, alterations, additions or changes to any lot and home within Hope Island Resort.
Please note that the DCBL’s have been approved and gazetted by the Queensland Government and are legal and enforceable by-laws applicable to the Resort.
Therefore whilst continual improvements to your home or lot are encouraged, approval from the PBC is required prior to undertaking any external changes to your lot or home.
If any construction, alterations, additions or changes are planned within a lot, it must be compliant with the DCBLs.
The Architectural Review Authority (ARA) is a Sub Committee of the PBC and is charged with the responsibility of ensuring the developers vision is fulfilled. It carries out the PBC’s duties defined by the DCBLs. The ARA Committee comprises of owners who meet fortnightly to review all applications received and make recommendations to the PBC on whether the proposed development or proposed change to a existing development complies with the by-laws and policies set forth within the DCBLs.
It is important to note that if you are planning any exterior changes to your lot or home, you must seek approval from the ARA prior to the commencement of those works.
Some examples of works that require approval from the ARA include but are not limited to:
